Is this a special towbar for the Typhoon? How do they mount it - is it inbetween the rear grill or do they hack away at the rear bumper? Also is it the square jobby or the tongue type?Does anyone have any pictures of theirs? I've seen in the other forums alot of XRs with dodgy workmanship.MadF6... And yes, the rear bar will have to be cut, and usually the mesh will be cut to make it fit, no one in our workshop wants to do it, and there is a place up the road that sells tow bars - they won't touch it! I fitted it myself with a friend and we also did his on his GT-P as well. XR's are pretty straight forward but the FPV's require their bumper to be cut.The heavy duty is harder to fit as you are required to drill into the chassis but the basic tow park is a straight bolt on to the back.Which pack were you going for? So you're saying that I can just mount it myself?

The BA's were alot easier because the rear bar was one peice, now its harder because of the mesh inserts in themRemember that because you have a manual, the towing capacity is limited to 1200kg, so the tongue style standard tow bar is all you will get unless you aftermarket. I'm constantly amased at how fast people reply to posts here - seems to suggest their are some die hard enthusiasts...It looks like deek and some other pics suggest that caps go over the sections of bumper that are cut on each side of the tongue. Where can I get these caps?

Unfortunately people don't wanna look through real estate when it's 37° outside and it's a public holiday.
