If it helps, although the tail end is constucted by Dana here in australia, the shafts are made in China too! Thanks Senna_T. Do the wheel bearing present much of a problem, as in is it common for them to rumble? 284 does it quite bad between 55-70 kph on a smooth road and then shuts up at about 75kph. 333 used to do it between 70-90, not a diff howl but a rumble sound

I was just about ready to strip the front end of my car down to replace the bearings and had to replace a damaged tire. The rumbling and groaning noise from the front end at around 60 to 70kph is gone. Have a look at the inside shoulder of the tire and see if the edges are feathered at allcheersLuke

I could park it next to the Wheelie bin and chuck rocks at it, or use it for a spitoon, or a vomit bucket when I've had too many Coronas, thanks for your help Senna-T and Hiddeous

(unlike her!) These cars aren't allowed on the freeways in Shanghai apparantly, must be something to do with engine capacity.Check out this crash test of the QQ. Very scary if these things come to Oz. Worth about USD$7500. http://paultan.org/archives/2006/02/18/chery-qq-crash-test/Ben Edited 24/03/08 09:13 AM by benjam
