Hey everyone,

I saw in the group buys, sets of siemens dekka 60lb injectors and it got me thinking.

I've seen a lot of great feedback from members about these.

I just wanted to know - what do these do that my standard injectors don't? I know the cc and lb ratings are higher - but what dos that mean? are they more responsive? able to push in more fuel?

Also, while you're here :stirthepot: What is a surge tank and what does that do? What about the the walbro and bosch fuel pumps?

I'm only new to modding cars and such, and I'd like to know more.

Thanks everyone!

Dan

if you search enough you will find the answer, but anyway - the standard injectors in our cars are not capable of supplying enough fuel for more than say 250rwkw, the siemens injectors however are good for over 400rwkw!

The surge tank is to stop the fuel rail running out of fuel in cornenering or prolonged Wide Open Throttle (WOT) applications. Usually a good idea once you toward and above 300rwkw. They are a separate tank usually around 2-3L in capacity with an extra pump to keep good pressure in the fuel rail.
