Well this is a long post, but there has been plenty longer im sure, anyway..... I found this a little while back when searching KW = HP and this chart below came up through a link in Google, not sure if its right but it is a easy way to convert.

Derek

Good Gen - Quick Horsepower Conversion

HP = kW x 1.3405

kW = HP X 0.746

kW = HP

90 =120

110 = 147

120 = 160

130 = 174

140 = 187

150 = 201

160 = 214

170 = 227

180 = 240

190 = 255

200 = 268

210 = 282

220 = 295

230 = 308

240 = 322

250 = 335

260 = 349

270 = 362

280 = 372

290 = 389

300 = 402

310 = 416

320 = 429

330 = 442

340 = 457

350 = 469

360 = 483

370 = 496

And if you want to get a bigger power figure, check it on a hub dyno.

heheheh - or for an even BIGGER figure you could measure it at the flywheel ...

Oh, and then you could remove the alternator, power steer pump, water pump, and air con - geez the figure is looking really impressive now LOL.

I think it is more like 25% difference between the RWKW/RWHP and the EKW/BHP figures... but yes a car with a bit over 300 RWKW should be over 500 BHP.
