I have no clue (other than what googlemaps shows) what the roads are like. If nothing has come up before next tues I'll nut out a route which looks interesting. My folks used to have a hobby farm off Cowalla rd bout 10 years back( off Gingin Bk Rd). Dont know what its like know but had some twisty sections? Only problem is its getting away from town centre. Road condition wasn't too bad back then, now? That way its directly off the freeway heading north (easy for you?) and its easy and Reid hwy is only 1km or so up freeway! Will be nice to give the taxi her first taste of some twisty stuff. Hope she likes it lol.Anyone else keen for a leisurely midweek drive? Edited 07/04/08 09:55 AM by Mat

Mayo rd is pretty tight and very twisty, I was pottering along at around 60kph and alot of the turns are on crests and are NOT marked very well. please be very careful as there are many spots just over the brows of the crests on the turns where rain has washed alot of gravel on the road. it would be best if those of us who are not interested in a spirited ride through there hang back along toodyay rd. there will be plenty of time to get the order sorted as it is a pretty long stint along toodyay rd.another thing I would like to point out is just before the mundaring pub, we have to go right at a roundabout. the road is still called mundaring weir rd and is signposted. the roads between the roundabout and the old pub turnoff are also very tight and the corners are not well marked. I advise everyone to be very cautious here, as we spotted a few skid marks heading straight into cliffs etc!!I am also going to have to change the 1st meet point. the carpark I had planned to use has been demolished!! there is a wilsons parking on zempilas st which is accessible from newcastle rd that would be ok. it doesn't have any gates or anything, do ppl rekon they would mind us stopping in there for 30 mins before we leave to joondalup? the other option is to move it to city west. I dont imagine that carpark will be overly busy at 10.30 am on a sunday.. what are peoples thoughts on this? im not to savvy with how wilsons parking etc operate on sundays.. please help!cheers
Guest newl Guests Posted 10/04/08 01:14 AM Share Posted 10/04/08 01:14 AM Yeah, I noticed yesterday too that the parking lot had disappeared in favor of a building that's going up. Forgot to mention it yesterday though.
