Finally installed a 12psi actuator and ported/larger flapper exhaust housing today with my mate George at ProFlow in Seaford. Getting ready for 300+ rwkw. I also fitted a Walbro GSS 340 in-tank pump to supply enough fuel with some room to move. I was initially a little concerned with 2 things. How I to run the fuel line while still allowing the the Ford "swirl pot" to move freely and not kinking/reducing the inside diameter of the fuel line too much. I came up with the below goat-horn design. Now that's art...

Anyone else done it like this? I filled it to half and the fuel gauge is still working - great. Also no fuel surge yet. Just as I'm getting down to 1/4 tank, I'm hearing the pump at idle inside the cabin. Nothing a subwoofer doesn't fix though.

I did get mates rates for install which was 33%-50% cheaper than every other price I got quoted. Actuator/flapper/port was just over $300 from Jimy at XR6 Turbo Developments 0419 019 855. Should be getting tune either Friday or next week. Will keep you posted...

I think that fuel line is going to cause you dramas.

In about 1 to weeks it will in the middle of now where..

straughsberry,

Do yourself a big favour and get some "GATES" submersible fuel line.

It only comes in 300 mm pieces , Repco sell it $40+ per section.

The stuff you have used wont last .

The stuff I have used is specified as being submersible so what dramas should I expect?

BTW, going in for a tune next Thursday at Pit Lane Performance in Frankston. Great price and Rick sounds like a quality bloke who really cares about what the customer gets. Time will tell though and I will definitely post results of both tune and service.

I just called the place I got it from and they are now saying it's not specified as submersible but they sell it as submersible because it is made from the same material inside and out. Why are people so idiotic? It wasn't expensive but that's not the point. Now I have to waste and hour of my time again and stink up the cabin for a few days because of their stupidity. Morons I say, morons. Might do some R&D on this stuff and see how long it lasts...
