Thanks for the input guys. I was driving it hard from the first tank as I've read the talk about it improving power long term. Switched to cruise mode on the next couple tanks. I will give it the berries again from tomorrow and see how it goes from there.

I'm wary of putting tune on so early as the car is mostly financed and I dare not risk invalidating my powertrain warranty. Doesn't stop one of my friends putting the hard word on me modding it every chance he gets though.

mate either you guys have got it wrong or im doing something outrageous! I've done 5000 clicks on mine and if I give it a good fang mine sits on 19L - the best ive had it sit on was 11.8 but that was only when I had just filled it up then sat on the freeway. Once I started doing local driving it went back up to 15.5 - but that was cruising it - is it possibly because mine is the 6spd manual and I just dont know how to drive hahaha?

even with the new power and rebuilt engine mine is returning around 14.9 - 6spd Manual.

Just cruising on the freeway it will go down to around 11.

I.B. - try resetting the average fuel meter every now and again and you'll probably see it go up after a cruise!

My car now has 33,000k's, its a 6 speed ZF Turbo and my driving on an average week consists of mainly medium/heavy city traffic giving me an average speed of only 26kmh for the week!!!. I'm sitting in traffic alot going nowhere fast. Driving easily for most of the week the best I can get is about 17l/100k's therefore about 400k's to a tank using premium ULP. Let us know what you average speeds are because this will give us an indication of your time spent in traffic/freeway etc When reset and driven straight onto a freeway it sits well under 10l/100k's. City start stop traffic kills the economy!
