Oil Check

check your dipsticks .Pulled out the dipstick the other day and found that the motor was short in oil... Quickly jacked the car up and looked underneath to see if any leaks - nothing. Then thought to myself fearin the worst , bearings,oil rings,valve stems.... ??? did they leave it short from factory????

Wasnt prepared to take the risk went and got oil and filter and did an oil change...Will be closely monitoring from here on..

What oil did you use out of interest synthetic or the stuff out of the ground?

I went and got oil from ford 15w-40 the same stuff they use but ill be swaping to a synthetic castro; u just cant beat it

I've had a very slow decline in oil level since I got the oil changed at 3k service. We put the car up on the hoist and found that oil was leaking through the rear main engine seal and dripping off the bottom of the Bell Housing. Off to ford to claim some more warranty.

I thought leaking mains were exclusively attached to the generals products. A Ford with a leaky rear main very rare.

Does this car have a dip stick?? I thought lease cars were built with out them these days to cater for us lazy bums......LOL
