Yeah the majority of plenums wont fit now, Nitto is the only one that may fit/bolt to the head... there may be clearence issues though

Stock plenum looks small, but its a better choice for turbo compared to BA/BF.

Any turbo specs out yet? With a smaller exhaust hosing & wheel top end power once modded will be down.

Piping is a zillion times better than BA/BF, its going to be very simple to design a good higher flowing kit for this while retaining a very factory look.

Good times ahead!

My guess is that these cars are going to be restricted in stock trim as I think that are going to have a smaller turbo and piping with smaller plenum and shorter intake runners it will not produce the same low end torque as the BA-BFs. This could be good news to BA and BF users!!

It will be interesting to see the dyno graphs. I am sure that Jim @ Tunehouse would be happy to offer a free dyno run for anyone who wants to see what their new FG XR6T is doing.

I have to admin that the new F6 is starting to look really good to me ... Mmmmm, strip to good bits off my car sell it and install them in a new manual F6!! ... this could be a good project.

isn't part of the idea of the new set up about creating more low end torque? Smaller turbo means faster spool up which means more low end torque. if they simply wanted to put 270KW in the T they would have just saved themselves alot of time and money and put in the Typhoon motor as it was. I'm very surprised that given this motor has only got a short life span that they went to this much effort.

Sorry, I should have said ... The combination of what I listed will probably restrict low end torque and high end power in modified and edited cars... this makes sense as Ford might be looking to try and save the transmissions and clutches.

It will be interesting to see how well the new model reacts to modification...

Oh my!!

Those pics of the XR6T (Front and rear) look awesome!!

I really hope Ford release a similar color to citric/toxic in this range. Now that will set if off brilliantly :msm:

the inlet plenum looks of a very similar design to DRIF6....

I wonder if that designer was contacted for some "technical input" on the new model??
