someone correct me if im wrong

but once the deka's are in with the flash 2 I believe you can select 60lb injectors in the programming function! if so wouldn't it change the fueling so it would be suitable to drive?

I thought that was the idea of it as im about to buy one 2?

correct me if im wrong.

you might need torx bits and sockets for some of the bolts dude, not 100% sure thou

if you cant change the injector selection I wouldn't be driving it at all as the overfueling will cause the brand new cat to melt, last thing you want to be doing to a sexy new exhaust.

I couldnt see why the Brembo's wouldn't come with braided lines.

You will definetly need Valve springs & actuator played with.

Thanks heaps for all the info guys.

Actuator mod - My tuner is going to do this for me

Its a BF so im not doing valve springs at this stage.

Flapper valve mod - What needs to be done here? My tuner has not told me I need to do this but if I just take the Turbo unit to him he should be able to do it for me yeah? How long do you think it will take?

I didnt think that I would need to regap the spark plugs because they are BF ones? I will buy a new set anyway so any one have the correct part number handy?

cobrav8 - Thanks for the post. I am not installing the clutch. My tuner will be doing this and the braided lines for it.

Dirty32 - Im Innaloo mate. And yeah it will be all systems go at easter.

I thought that I would be best getting it towed to the shop but that just confirmed it for me.

TUFXRT6 - I bought the brakes second hand and was told that I would not need to worry about getting braided lines but im thinking that I might as well spend the money and get the best I can all at once.

Thanks to everyone who has replyed.

hey dame, you might be able to use the PBR off the shelf braided lines that they do for the Falcons, check them out at repco

what tuner are you using?

also if your going to the trouble of changing the brake fluid why not go something like a motul or pbr race brake fluid?

I'll pop by and give you a hand if you want, I like to think of myself as mechanical. any tools you don't have that you need, I might have some. also do you have the falcon manual? if not let me know what things your abit offy about removing and installing and I'll print them off.

The Turbo flapper valve seems to be done on cars over 300rwkw I think. The rear housing needs to be taken off - and the port enlarged and a larger flapper valve installed. I think it is only a couple of hundred dollars, but a nuisance job - hard to get on and off. You then have to send the housing to someone to do - not all installers/tuners would do this in house.

The plugs on all BA and BFs either F6 or XR6T all need the gaps made smaller .75mm I think?

Agreed - probably dont need the valve springs.

Braided brake lines give a firmer pedal feel, as with rubber ones they expand slightly giving a slightly mushy feel. They dont make the car stop quicker, but have a better feel, and in my opinion are safer as less likely to burst (though that doesnt happen much with newish lines).

BPT is going to do my tuning and do a full check over the car for me.

rhysy_boi - Ill PM you my number and address if you want to come around. It would be handy if you have done this sort of thing before. I think I should be right but ya just never know. I have the workshop manual as well thanks mate.

Ill give BPT a call about the Flapper valve and see what they think.

I might give the braided brake lines a miss then and do them later on.

Thanks for everyones input.
