Sorry tried search not satisfied with results.

How much can you actually tune the car with this?

Is there a way of resetting the ECU to factory settings?

How can you tell if a flasher has been used in the car before for warranty claims etc?

* Yes, the flash tuner downloads the factory tune and stores it for later use

* Can't be done on the BA models but apparently can be found on the BF and later

plug the flasher in and you can see what tune the cars got. The f on the flasher should be the factory ecu program....

No it doesn't!

the F light will allways come on when the flasher is first plugged in, no matter what tune is loaded in the ecu

as the others said in the other thread,

yes this box can totally tune your car but you cant do it a capa agent/ tuner can adjust the settings allowing more boost and more power.

just plug it in and have a go.

if anything goes wrong we can talk you through the process of getting the f slot back in.

Ok so I read the manual for the flasher and it has an 8 PSI generic tune. How do I go about cranking it to 8PSI?

Do I need a boost control valve?

Do I just connect the flasher then program and that's it?

Is the flasher always F -Factory or can you wipe the factory with a custom tune?

IE is the F slot a read only or re-writtable?

It can only be written to once, which locks it to one given vehicle. After that the box needs to be reset and loses one of its five lives.
