In the distance I just assumed they were big sea mullet but not so! Far far to early so perhaps they didnt make their way home in previous years!Reminds me of the day we went from catching dolphin fish at the furtherst FAD's to Salmon at Cathederal Rocks. Year is going so quickly! I've only ever caught them in Perth in late April. Landed few around Trigg reefs (where I tend to fish locally) and cable stations.Try and get down to Wydaup a few times during the season. Did ok last year. Last trip it only took me 2hrs and 27 minutes to get there lol. Go down for the day and hit Chicken treat for lunch and try to leave so dont get caught in peak hour. Those rock's down there are awesme sambo spot

There a plenty of exceptions to the rules. Sure mulloway off Mandurah beaches might be better at certain times / tides / moons and tailor might like a bit of wind / swell / reef BUT as long as you have a line in the water and arent useless (or fishing in a place that has been hammered for the past 30 years), you'll generally catch something.
