Hi, just bough a BAmk1 with 56,000k's on the clock and a flasher in a box in the boot. I have TWO questions.

1. If I is use the Capa flasher how do I go about defaulting back to factory if need be? Can the flasher allow me to put any tune I want in?

2. Is there any way of suspending or changing the ODO, I'm sus about this car having 56,000, will the flasher or anything interfere with it?

[/END NOOB QUESTIONS]

Tell us about the car and where are you. Reason I ask is I traded mine recently and left the flasher in the boot.

The flasher unit will load new tunes into your car to make it quicker. There can be up to 3 different tunes stored in the box plus the factory tune.

What tunes you have would be anyones guess.

welcome to the forum mate.

depending on where your falsher was purchased u have three tunes. usualy slot 1 is the vallet tune which wont let your car rev past 3000 rpm. slot to is an 8psi tune and slot 3 is a 10 psi tune. u realy want to put the car on the dyno when u flash it as it can lean out and do some serious damage. iv got the 8psi tune on mine and it runs fine and iv never been near a dyno. flashing the car back to factory is the same as flashing an edit as wen u flash the edited tune the factory settings are uploaded into the flasher. hope this helps

So can you edit the tunes on the flasher or are they set in stone. Say I wanted some mods like exhaust, cooler 12 PSI could a tune be made using the Capa then flashed into the car?

Also like a virgin is there any way to tell that the car has been flashed and hence void warranty?

u cant tell if its been flashed before unless u have a bf apparently

the tunes that come with it are called generic tunes. to edit these tunes to suit mods u put the car on a dyno and get a ''custom tune''. so yes they can be enhanced
