Good thing they are strong as. Size 18x8.5 +30.CheersRob Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/42957-new-wheels-for-the-r-spec/ Share on other sites

Great choice though Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/42957-new-wheels-for-the-r-spec/#findComment-638200 Share on other sites

Love the look of black wheels on light cars, especially when you have nice brakes to show off! My Accord has 17" Prodrive rims on it and people say they look a bit small, but it makes it look more like a track car than a show car. Looks tough! These are made by Prodrive and are 6.8kgs each... Looks tough!Yep, that's the angle...I am not into the flash look, rather I am trying to turn this car into the R (for race) SPEC that FPV should have released. I didnt want to run 19's for these reasons - 1. Poor selection of Semi Comp rubber in 19' 2. 35 profile is a dud for performance - need a bit of sidewall3. Additional unsprung weightDes - no mate, not really. I wanted to keep the same front / rear footprint (at the moment the car already is prone to high speed understeer.......add more rear grip = more understeer) and the 250-260rwkw that I will be running will be ok with 245 semis comps.....and I want to be able to rotate them. The affect of unsprung vs sprung weight on the cars suspension / braking is 4 to 1. And yes, there is definately a notable improvement, you can feel the suspension isnt working so hard and the ride is definately improved. No chance to test the brakes yet though.
