had a bloke come into work today with a light on the odo side, an S in a circle. Rang ford and they said it was the speed limiter had been exceeded. anyways can anyone shed some more light on the matter and can I turn it off?? there's a bit of rivalry between our workshops so I can never trust the B*&%#@#'s

Yeah it means the speed ALERT has been set.

On mine I pull back and hold one of the levers on the back of the steering wheel to activate/turn off and then use the volume buttons to make it go up and down.

Cant remember if it is the right or left one though sorry.

make sure the stereo is turned of, then hold down the mode button on the left side of the steering wheel, it will turn it off

Don't need the stereo turned off to do it though, just hold it down (pull it forward) till the dash beeps.

Pfff....as if you'd know anything about these cars :spoton:

I stumbled on this one when I was waiting for someones train to show up.... didnt know what the hell was goin on... my volume buttons keps beeping... worked it out though... speed alert is kinda pointless I think... be good if you could get holding the mode button down to do something else... water spary the intercooler or something...
