Guess I'm lucky, heavy traffic so it was a low speed crash, but its my first so I was pretty shaken...

One of the reasons why we now get roundabouts everywhere instead of traffic lights.

That blows mate, don't worry about the one on the door that's factory error. Take it to ford and claim it on warranty.

Well car has been assessed and is booked in for next week. Its going to take 2 weeks at a cost of $4000 inc. $1300 parts. I thought It would have been more?!?

I noticed a nasty rotational clunking noise when turning tight corners from the rear, and also some shuddering from the front when turning the wheels at very slow speed. Plus a bubbled front tire and passenger electric window was playing up. I'm guessing that they think they can beat all the panels good since parts figure is so low?

So I have 2 weeks with the 'Gold Chariot' Corolla, no cruise control for 1400km is going to kill me. :finger:

Any advice when picking the ute up? Should I take a magnet and check for bog? Think that would well cheese the panel shop off if I pulled a fridge magnet out. :aaggl:

Talk to 'em,

ask how they intend to repair you car before they commence.

If you're not happy with their plans, now's the time to tell them.

It's what I did when my missus took out a dingo at 180kph, they wanted to glue my front back together,

I said NO, back and forth with the assessor, but new bar in the end, so all's good.

(The panel beater actually helped me argue with the assessor, good bloke.)

Ahh true... good idea. I'll give them a call on Monday. Its a mob in Sherwood called Brisbane Collision Centre. I wouldn't mind getting the dent in the bonnet sorted out to at the same time, see if they can look after me on that.

Sorry to see the pride and joy banged up mate. Bloody roundabouts. Why is it that nobody seems to know the rules on entering and exiting roundabouts, shake my head every day when I watch the clowns making up their own rules.

Cheers,

G.G.

To true, where I am from in England, we had a roundabout nicknamed the 'Magic Roundabout'... Cant find a pic of it but there was one in Swindon that is similar.

The one we had was in Hemel Hempstead, and instead of 5 feeder mini roundabouts it had 6! Imagine putting 80% of Australian drivers on that.
