Guest Brent400 Guests Posted 10/07/03 10:40 AM Share Posted 10/07/03 10:40 AM Picked up my new XR6Turbo, Acid Rush, Leather, 6 Stacker CD on tuesday arvo at 4.00pm. Started the car for the fist time with only 5km on it. Hoped out to put some gear in the boot while it warmed up and could not belive how sweet it sounded. Sounded better than my mates new SS.Anyway I have got to say how smooth the ride is. For a soprts car, They have done some great work on the suspension. Frim but not ruff. Sits nice and flat around corners and sharp steering. The dash lights at night are so sexy and the sound system is fantastic. The egine is bloody unreal. How good is the punch exiting corners? even at 130km you put your foot down exiting a corner and it takes off a rat up a drain pipe. This car is more than I emagined. I just can't belive how good is to drive. How good is the SSS box?One of my mates said that he would never buy a Auto box in a sports car. He has a XR6 98 model with a blower 260KW. Took him for a spin in mine and he said "sh*t, how good is the sss box in this car, why would you get the manual"?Every body who has gone for a ride in it loves it. I have done 368kms already. On the trip computer it was telling me that the average fuel consumtion was 22L/100KM after the fist 100 KM. Now it reads 17.6L/100Km. How good is that? I have not taken the car over 4,000 rpm, but have been heavy with my right foot. :D On sunday we are going from Canberra to Batemans Bay and back. Can't wait to have a fang around the Clyde Mountain To finish, I would have to say this is the beast car on the market for bang for your bucks and the misses loves it to.Brent

Guest Brent400 Guests Posted 10/07/03 11:20 AM Share Posted 10/07/03 11:20 AM I forgot to tell you that I can't get my car into the garage You see I have a steep drive way and because the xr6 is 2" lower than the standard car , it will scrap. I will be making up some metal ramps this w/end  Brent
