Are there major changes to the ECU programming ??In any case I will wait until the tuning community have had a play and are posting some hassle free results. Hopefully some aftermarket components that I already have will be able to be utilised as well. I will probably get into a new Phoon prior to year end or this time next year regardless. That will see me through until 2010, after that we will have to see what the new V6T has to offer. Again aftermarket components, tuning and results will determine whether I buy a six or an eight after that

It will just require more parts and dollars to get the same results.

I dont see how Ford Oz will have taken the BF and managed to add the kind of problems BA mkIs had.I bought a MkI and had no dramas, Ford had fixed the disc brake problem which required constant machining in Oct 03, before the release of the MkII. Just finished a lease on my 03 BA XR6T and loved it. I used to drive long distance for my job and always felt fresher getting out of this car then any other I have previously owned. Will be ordering a new FG turbo soon but first would like to see what colors will be available.By the way I was at the Eastern Creek V8 Supercar race today and actually saw a new XR8 parked in the back of the pit area and must say it looked quite nice, better then the pictures I have seen so far. The interior looks great also. Took a few pics while had the opportunity. Car was Vic registered under the Ford name.

It's like Bionic, just metallic.

I went to the motor show with him and the old man and he said the blue colours (Sensation and Steel) look quite stunning from what he's seen on the line thus far.
