that's right, its the same in concept as the RB26DETT or the 2JZ-GTE, straight six twin cam engines with two small low inertia turbos that sit on individual manifolds, each turbo being fed by 3 cylinders. This approach gives you a very smooth and torquey mid-range, that engine/car combination was developed with TT in mind, so there is enough room in the engine bay too.

To all the knockers - a little birdy told me that the new falcon is almost a complete rethink (from memory 90% new was the figure bandied about). Handling is far from dull - shakes the weight off quite well.

Oh, and the V6TT setup is apparently a 350kw minimum prospect, so take from that what you will.

There's a stronger feel of quality about the new cars, even though they're certainly not up to euro standards. I believe the philosophy is to build european style cars but cheaper.

B*llocks - the day that a base brand (not FPV) makes 350 kw - will be the day the government steps in. That will not happen - feel free to bookmark this page.

Read carefully mate - I never said they would. I only said what I'd been told about the project. 350 was the number.

Heck, the even the new XR6 Turbo has more factory ability than most people realise.

Especially true in 2 states here in AUS. Government bodies and pedestrian and road safety councils would spew at 350Kw and above. Though some standard cars do already put out these numbers they are the same price as houses and far less common.

For me its just enough change to excite but not really a proper job (granted I do like it). I will wait and see who on here buys one and what the problems are, if it has faults like the B series, thjen I will never buy another falcon again. I am that dead set sick of Ford and there half assed attempts. yes I do love my BA, but hate its faults.
