This must be a no cost option on BA's as mine has stopped working too.

Just in time for winter. F*cking typical.

I get the faint motor whine when I turn the dial. From what ive read on here it means the mixer shaft has stripped & that's a dash-out job to fix it.

:roflmbo:

you could be right. im pretty sure it is located in the passenger side kick panel, so it may be worth getting in there and making sure all the plugs are correctly installed.

I had this issue and my car was just 3 months out of warranty. I took it to power ford in castlehill. They where helpful and They called ford and asked if they could fix it under a work order warranty, no luck. Called 13FORD and spoke to the guy on the phone basically it was down to one thing, He said to me if I had been a loyal ford customer and serviced my car at Ford they would have fixed it, but because I have had all my services done at Tunehouse which is a authorised repco service centre they would not help me out. Then I got the sh*ts and gave him a mouthful about loyalty and that me spending $45k buying a new car from then counts for nothing ??? That I also need to be ripped off by the dealer network for services, so the dealer wanted $1000 to fix the issue which I declined. What pissed me off more was the ford care giving me a call to see if the repair was done, which I abused him and told him I would not waste any money with ford again.

Hi Boys

Mine is an 03 build and the heater hasn't worked for a couple of years, so doesn't really worry me.

What does concern me is the prospect of the cabin getting flooded.

So if the core has shat itself, does it mean the flooding will inevitably follow?

I reckon if I took it to Fraud they would put their hand out for $1500 at least!

Appreciate any comments/advice.
