Hi All,

Just a quick question, anyone know who spec/features show on a STD F6 it has the upgraded Stereo inc Sub and Amp, however the RSpec doesn't, other then to cut on some of the costs to counter the cost of the other upgrades?

Maybe weight?

Seems like a bit of a weird thing to have had happen, or are the specs sheets wrong???

Cheers,

Smicky!

Both the F6 and R Spec come with Premium audio system with colour TFT display screen, 6-disc in dash CD, 6 speakers, 150 watt amplifier and 150 watt sub-woofer.

The only non standard thing about the R Spec is that they give you the Auxilary audio plug in (iPod / MP3).

The specs are here:

http://www.fpv.com.au/media/19390/fpv%20f6...cifications.pdf

And the additional features of the R Spec are all listed here:

So in other words, yes, they do come with the sub and amp. I just disconnected the 6" sub and connected up a 12" and amp and it cranks now :D The only pain in the bot bot is that the standard sub hangs quite low into the boot.

Cheers!

I could almost guarantee Dagabond would be the first to reply to a topic that could be about an R Spec negative.........the R Spec envy runs deep in this one :tonguepoke:

Cheers R-Spec, they are the PDF's I have been looking at over the past few hours and following sticking my head in the boot of the RSpec in the show room I couldnt see the Sub!

:( hence I asked... guess ill find out when I pick up the beast!

BTW- do we know what sort of gear is in it, if there is a 150w amp and sub? or is it typical 'ford' branded stuff? They once used ok Pioneer gear, no idea anymore...

What sort of 12" did u put in mate?

Thanks again guys!

I whacked a JL Audio sub in there. It's not that powerful. It's this without the silly mesh thing over it:

I'm not a Chapel St nazi I just like feeling music punching me in my back.

The speakers in it are actually quite loud. I was used to the speakers in the XR6, but these ones pack some serious noise levels!

I had it on about 22 with my iPod cranked and it was hurting my ears (I'm not soft either, I'm a drummer in a live band, so my hearing's f*cked lol)

You'll have some near sleepless nights waiting for the F6 dude, but it's well worth it.

Just make sure you run it in properly and get the most you can out of it. Don't speed, just drive it hard to the speed limit. You might look like a wa*ker but you have an excuse!

Nice work mate- used to have a JL in the old car- since buying the Liberty GT there was no need to do anything to the stereo this time round....

Last time I did an over hall, on a system I spent silly silly levels of money... almost as much as the car cost me... :(

Anyways, good choice on the sub- big fan of JL subs!

Any idea what the real RMS output on the amp is? and if it can really handle that level of impedance?
