Did it have the raccoon front as that would have been the big give away.

I don't mind them, but they're a little different to what I would have expected.

I was a bit shocked to read that they're not having an "XR8" Equivalnet in the line-up...

Wonder if they'll be any good...Oh well - test drive :)

I read in the sunday times (In WA) that the range will only have XR6, XR6T, and an XR6TE (I think they go by another name now though), and will ommit the XR8 in the standard range. There will also not be any FG station wagons - only the BF II's...

I didn't mean the FPV range mate :)

Cheers,

Dan

There is an FG XR8. It's got the the BF's FPV GT engine in it and the Semi Active Muffler system (SAM). Look at the Ford website.

The station wagons will be BF MkIII's.

In terms of its size, the FG Ford Falcon is 25mm longer than its predecessor and together with more intelligent packaging that means more interior space for all occupants. Boot space has improved from 501 to 535 litres, making it best in class.

Class leading boot space, yes, but only with the standard space saver wheel. Put in a full size wheel and it goes back to the 505 litres that BA/BF had. Onya Ford.

There's only so much you can do with a rear drive car in regards to boot space, even with the space at 504L, its still the biggest boot in the segment, Late model camira is 496 and Aurion is 430-odd, at least ford have gotten rid of the bloody sub hanging down.

By the way, we just got the code sheets for the FG, I can't see the LSD being an option on any of the Sedans, it is available on utes though. Of course the XR6T and XR8 have them standard, but I can't see it available on anything else apart from the Police Pack
