Any new times would be good to hear about!

How long is Lakeside?

Do they run any 2-3 Day events we can enter as Street Cars?

eg. FOSC events

Guys,

there are heapss of full and half days that you can attend at Lakeside. great track expecaily if you live on the north side of brisbane. Get big speed down the straight , but watch out for the fences !!Have a look at the website for events

Went out to eastern creek on Wednesday and had a pretty good day, car ran very consistent. I was running R888 instead of my usual R1R's and with less power (15 to 20km slower down the straight) I improved my lap times to some consistent 1.52's and a best of 1.51.6. I was using my iphone with Harry's lap timer app and did not realise I could record the laps as well as time them until later in the day. So below is a 1.53.12 with some traffic... I guess All I need to do is improve some of my lines and I will make up a heap more time.

Nice time mate!!

I'm liking my R888's too. Get even faster when they wear a bit as well. Did you go with 265/35 rears?

Yeah the tyres really helped, considering I was down on so much straight line speed it felt good to still make up time else where.

I was running 245/40/18 fronts and 265/35/18 rears.

I now just need to get some time in the car and hopefully keep improving.

oops!

Hit the wrong Key!

I ditched power to get better 'power down' to!

- Less power gave me quicker times!

The only other real obstacle with these Cars is 'weight'.

- It's still the real Killer.

I weighed mine with a full Tank of Gas and me

- 1920kg!

Don't know about that Buff, but I do know Philip Isle is f..... awesome!

Anyone who gets a chance to go there is in for one hell of a treat!

Very faaaaaast!

What was the top speed down the Phillip Island Straight. Will I hit the 230 limiter with around 300rwkw?

I'll be there at Eastern Creek this Thursday 23rd pm.

Turn 2 and 12 has been resurfaced. Did you gain time here?

Its hard to say where I made time, I felt as though I improved my line on turn 2 and made some time but not sure how much the resurfacing helped.

Turn 2 is such a hard turn, it set up the lap with so much time made and lost in that turn.

As for turn 12, I struggled through this turn all day. If I used 2nd it would spin the tyres far to much and 3rd was a little laggy. I ended up using 3rd and holding the corner wide to try to maintain some boost for the exit.
