I find that people rarely regret making a decision to change and often regret not making that decision. If you don't like the new job, there's always prospects for (another) different job, especially with your skills and experience.

I have pretty much made up my mind, I am just concerned that my manager will think I am ungrateful as they have given me the opportunity to have the Supervisors position.

I will have a chat with the manager on Monday and let him know what I am looking at doing, when I do give notice I will try and give 2 months notice, to give them time to find or train up someone else.

I think that's fair, still think he will get sh*tty though.

mate, bugger what the boss thinks. Its your life. Obviously you want to be reasonable as he has looked after you, I understand that. However he is not in a position to make this decision for you.

Mate at the end of the day you do not live to work. If you think you will be more happy living in Perth then you have nothing to lose.
