Dash Brake And Abs Warning Lights

Hi guys,

I have noticed that the lights behind my ABS and Brake waring lights are constantly (albeit very, very dimly) illuminated all the time when the car is running.

When I start the car, all the lights come on as normal, the ABS light goes out after the appropriate amount of time and the brake light go out when I release the hand brake, but, you can clearly see that both warning lights remain very slightly lit.

At first I thought I was imagining it but now I am certain that they are indeed lit.

Could anyone else confirm/deny if this is the case in their XRT?

Regards,

Isher

Isher,

You're a crack-up ... you've managed to get all these guys squinting in the dark at their dash boards looking for the lights!

Bravo! Well Done!

Has anyone noticed that there is music constantly coming from inside the boot? You need to get in and close it to hear it ...

Well first things first...

1. I'm not on drugs, I'm serious... (well at the moment anyway...). Richdave are you taking the piss or is your car like mine? I'd take soem picks to prove it but I dont thik it woud show up very well.

2. Some erratta: It is not the brake light and the ABS light it is the Caution Light (I think) the one with the exclamination mark in brackets to the left of the park brake light and the ABS light.

Both of these lights are orange in colour so I thought it might have someting to do with their source etc.

Both are definetly on, at a very dim level when my car is running.

I'm not worrried about it enough to bother taking the car back to the dealer. That can wait for the 3000km check up which should be in the next 3-4 weeks.

Regards,

isher

If I don't drive at night - or I drive at night with the lights out, will I avoid this problem?

Perhaps if I drive at niht with the lights out and the foot flat to the floor - to decrease my chance of seeing lights?
