I wouldnt mount any swirlpot in the boot. Rubber lines, even viton lined fuel injection hose permeates fuel odours thru the fuel line and the smell will be a constant bother. If you must use metal bundy tube as much as possible and rubber just for joining and it should be OK.

My STi has it in the boot as well and it stinks. It is a braided fuel line.

My F6 also now has it in the boot. I had Tunhouse source some Earls braided lines that have a Teflon internal coating.

No smell whatsoever. I'm also going to get the same fuel lines put into my STi.

the teflon actually replaces the rubber.

I use it on all my turbo lines as braided hose with rubber inside still perishes, the teflon ones dont.

are the teflon lines available as just teflen line or is it only practicable in a braided line?

I only ask this as a possible cost saver for some people

well you see teflon lines in a lot of compressed air applications.

machines use them, air shifted manual drag gearboxes use them etc but they are all used with plastic fittings and joiners.

I think that is where the problem lies as far as running them as a fuel line but the speedflow range uses anodized alloy which is perfect for fuel and they are braided aswell which is perfect for an auto application (extra protection)
