Guest anthoc Guests Posted 23/12/02 12:20 AM Share Posted 23/12/02 12:20 AM For the first time there is a proper alarm kit made by Bosch specially for the Barra. They make the body computer and supply it to Sumitomo who make the ICC. The after sales alarm body computer is available from your Ford dealer and although I am not sure about it's performance, etc, because it's integrated into the computer, there is less messing around with your vehilce's wiring. A siren and front bonnet sensor are also added but the imobilisation is as per the production car - no changes. Worth a look considering the wiring that some back street places do ranges from incompetent to downright negligent. Also your warranty can be voided if someone cuts into a wire and burns your car to the ground. The alarm system fitment requires the dealer to remove your ICC, replace the body computer and add some circuits and the sensor/siren units. I expect that there is also a new keypad but maybe not.

I have the same one fitted.
