I have just finished modifying my intake pipework to eliminate the crossover assembly, relocate the BOV and shorten overall intake length. Intake temps are expected to have dropped dramatically and turbo seems to spool much faster than before. Also torque into 3rd gear has increased HEAPS..Pulls very hard. Im impressed with the increase..Also sounds awesome coming on song.

I would think intake temps would sky rocket based on the filter positioning.

Do like how you made use of original parts :-)

You would be surprised it is actually not as bad as you might be thinking. When I have been FULLY SICK in the past and run my dose pipe, which essentially puts the filter in the same area as the above picture, there is honest to got not a huge difference. The car goes like crap on a hot day no matter what setup I run and on a cold night it still hauls arse.

Nice work... good to see some DIY action on here.

As mentioned you want to get a better intake... intake temps will be huge no matter how good the intercooler is and it will lag big time.

You should be able to knock up a CAI pretty easy... or even just run a 3inch flex hose around the battery and under the headlight... $30 and your done.

Cheers

Chris
