I was sussing out the fuel lines on my Utes tank and they have a special fitting on all 3 lines. Whats the best way to remove these lines? I will still need to retain the fittings but attach new fuel line to them when I fit my surge tank.

The workshop manual states to use special removal tool AU601 which I obviously dont have.

I got a special tool. It is called my 2 fingers. Squeeze the flexible sides of the fitting together and you will be able to take the line off the tank. Be warned some fittings can be a real bitch to get off.

But yes there is a special tool our there for it, never had the need to use one yet though.

Will the factory connections fit a speedflow etc tailpiece or how do

you go about joining these connections to new braided hose.

I was hopeing not to cut the factory ones off to put a tube fitting

on so it can be returned to original if required.

I want to try and avoid sounding like a moron here. Ive have tried squeezing pushing you name it but I think if I pull any harder im going to break something...

How does this fitting work? What section should I squeeze in? I think I mite just end up cutting the fuel line off the fitting.....

Pretty sure you push the hoses then squeeze the pins on the side like Fatsex said and pull them off the connections.

They come off quite easy so dont cut them
