Hey forum

I am wanting to know from people that have completed mods. I have done a fair bit of research and have found a few discrepencies.

1. The first modding place that I contacted said that I could get 270ishrwkw if I do the following; flash tuner, injectors, cold air induction, dyno tuned

2. After speaking to modding place B, he said that the 1 was full of sh1t and could not be done for the limited amount of mods. He suggested putting on an exhaust and maybe intercooler kit (no tuning required) and then look at the flash box.

From everything that I have read, people are generally flash tuning it first and then putting on exhausts to get over 300rwkw.

is this the best way to go or is putting on the exhaust first the way to go. I would like to make my final decision ASAP as I have the money aside for the mod. Just want to know what way to go.

I think option 1 is achievable.

I certainly wouldn't be fitting an exhaust and intercooler without a tune as suggested by place B! :tonguepoke:

You need to get your can tuned for the parts that are on it.

There's no point getting a tune and then putting an exhaust on.

it seems as though tuner B has no idea, but I'd ad an intercooler and drop the cold air induction (F6 lower intake is fine) to tuner A's list and then get it tuned, provided you don't have a BF cat, 260-270 or there abouts should be acheivable, but it will depend on your valve springs, this level seems to be as far as the stock ones will go.

Also, have you thought about brakes? Once you crank the power, the brakes will seem even worse!

Were the tuners you spoke to site sponsors? If not, speak to the sponsors and they will point you in the right direction

thanks Adam

that's what I thought. there is so much helpful information on this site but when you are going to throw about 3K at your car, you want to know all the details.

I think that I will go for the tune, injectors and air intake and see how that goes.

I agree that 1 is in the ball park. Valve springs may be required too though. These cars vary from car to car as far as output goes.

An intercooler will assist in providing more repeatable power at that level as the standard cooler will suffer from heatsoak, but is not a must have.

I think that I have spoken to 1 sponsor on this site. Just reminds me to get back to them via email.

My brakes are getting pretty crap again. I need to look into them more. I need to do a bit more reading about brakes on here.

I might try and get some brembos for the front to start off with. I wonder if the ebay ones are any good. Are they easy to install.

Geez, 1 thread and I am already spending MORE money.
