I have one of the first BA mk11's and at the time they were running out BA mk1's. The saleperson I spoke to was a dipsh*t, they advertised a demo model in the paper at $39990 and they guy tried to sell it to me for $44500. I ended up down maughan thiem. At the end of the day, if they give you the right car at the right price, take it. You can always look at your servicing options afterwards. I thought I heard of someone getting black listed after taking their car back their with mods fitted. I could be wrong though and it could have been another dealer. Although the BFs will log a flash tune Ford workshops can't tell themselves if you flashed it but they bring someone in who can if they are suspicious. Even so you will only loose drivetrain warranty. This was told to me the the Service Manager at my deaership last week. Even so my new R-SPec is getting the treatment as I type. If you don't cane them too hard they don't break anyway, it is only clutch dumping and chasing 12 sec and less quarter miles that will kill one. If your really worried you should wait 3000 klm before you do anything, because any inherent faults will show up by then and still be covered. I'm not a mechanic but I've had an XR6 Turbo, A GT, and 4 Typhoons and never had any major problems.

The reason they were is they had obvious modifications done to it (exhaust, BOV, etc) so the dealer said no more warranty for you.My Typhoon is modified to the hilt and I take it to the same dealer I bought it from who has no problems with the mods I have and even encourage it (purchase modifications through them). They have said to me that they will cover the car under warranty unless something occurs that is a direct result of the modifications (ie rod out the side of the block...hahaha).So for me its not an issue

I went in for a service with a KN air filter.............walked out with a standard air filter!!!They denied I ever had one!No, I didn't put the special sticker on the air box but you would think mechanic would know it was KN! MADF6 Member 399 Member For: 17y 2m 13d Posted 11/02/08 10:36 AM Author Share Posted 11/02/08 10:36 AM Thanks fellas for the feedback. I just wanted to put the feelers out and get some general feedback. I really appreciate it. There offering me a good deal on a demo Rspec with 4K on the clock for 49K - I think its a good deal.Does anyone know how I can pay them when their interstate? There in SA and I'm in QLD. My approval from the bank comes any day, and the dealer has said I have to pay into their account before they ship it up. I'm a little worried about doing that incase the car doesn't show up on the back of the truck -> Any suggestions?
