Seriously thought I think it is the brake pad shims if it is like a metallic tink noise.

When selecting sports mode and holding it in gear I hear clicking sounds at a point where I think it should be chasnging gear in D for drive. Is this what you are hearing? Is this normal?? There are shims that can be put in there to make the clicking stop but as far as I know it doesn't hurt any thing it is only annoying to listen to. Someone more experienced can probably confirm this.Dave

I hadn't notice this initially when driving from the dealership but not long after when I returned to earth from the XR6T experience I noticed a clunk sound from the engine bay when driving off at low speed (under 10km). This sound only occurs from initial start-up & then occurs when driving off at low speed & doesn't occur thereafter. One thing I've noticed is that the sound is becoming fainter as the K/ms increase on the car. Reading this forum topic I'm assuming that this may be the ABS priming itself but I'm not sure? Any feedback would be appreciated as I recently I had my 3000km service to which Ford stated they didn't hear anything that was concerning which is Buls*%t as at that time it was as noticeable as closing your door. Also when I checked my tyre pressures after the service they all varied, 35psi on the fronts, 38 on one rear & 42 on the other. Now I've been supplied a customer survey form from the dealership which I was intending to give them a rightful servicing but thought with record keeping & day & age they may review & create more grievance for me if I was to go back for the next 15,000km service. Again any suggestions or possibilities regarding this sound would be appreciated!!! Cheers!!!
