with 65% BP100 and 5% nitromethane for the oxygen. its works out at less than half the cost of buying pre made stuff.

Jeeesus..get caught with that little mix in the tank to or from the dragstrip :censored:

You should be able to have 500 ATW with BP98 but sometimes for a bit of insurance I add up to 20% toluene. Must try the 5% nitromethane though.

Those people using C16 or similar are getting ripped if you are using it for anything less than 500ATW

careful with the nitro though, it does the opposite for knock resistance! goes bang sooner.

you must tune the car for the specific mix your running.

or you could just go top fuel and run close to 100% nitro methane lol

brett .was that tony ages vl ??

No, a younger bloke named peter, he and his mate put the motor together.

Tony's vl is a weapon though so dont race him unless you want to watch him passing you at 160k's sideways!

I need a new tune....

p.s. Do you know when they are holding the ford vs Expensive Daewoo drags now?

And dont say "when it stops raining" either!

Farking rain....

dont put c16 in your xr6t ffs...

use an unleaded race fuel like martinis turbo 1400 or elf etc both rated at 110ron+ with added oxygen.

or just mix up your own like I do, its cheaper.

try 30% toluene (120ron) or xylene (xylene is marginally better at 122ron but its dearer)

with 65% BP100 and 5% nitromethane for the oxygen. its works out at less than half the cost of buying pre made stuff.

its only worth doin if the car is tuned with race fuel, forget it otherwise.

With a good tune, you will see an extra 30-50rwkw with the added timing and ~3psi more boost (which is safer to do coz of the knock resistance of the fuel)

comon dave, I need another tune with my new brew...

what percentage toly did you put in your 396 tune, I thought you only put 10% in then.

tolulene is good, but does take a bit to mix, so give your car a good shake to get it mixed.

about 5% gives you the octane of octane boost (a good one)

it is good at stopping detonation,
