I found the Ford unit way to big and awkward to change smoothly, so attacked it with a lathe, tap and die. Also changed the surround to match the silver color and the FPV type boot. Any comments welcome.. Cheers, Karl Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/42451-shifter-knob-replacement/ Share on other sites

Posted 07/02/08 01:13 AM Share Posted 07/02/08 01:13 AM looks good.... shame its from the dark side....is it possible to use the boot made for that nob and fit it to the silver ring? I just think it would look heaps better with the same leather boot rather then the fluffy ford one. I've taken it and the original Ford unit to an upholster to make a new one up...Thanks Dags... I picked the Pod up from some great guy... But managed to get caught (by Mr Plod), while having some fun after I left you.... You know the dual lanes up past the quarries??
