When approaching a job that reqires urgent response it is sometimes prudent to turn off the warning devices as you come into hearing range so as not to warn the offender that you are getting close. That said it is not accepted as best practice by the department but is a widely used tactic, stopping at the lights is a requirement when travelling at speed sometimes just incase someone is driving with there blinkers on though. Can't say anymore because I didn't see it, although sometimes the speed of drivers around you is not the most important issue at hand.

Hey Slymeat, are you in the force? or have an insider's knowledge? coz I sure would appreciate your opinion mate.

I honestly didn't think about the approach to a 'hot job', valid point!

any comment regarding the swerving from right to left to right lane? driver training a possibilty?

also pulling up to the 'straight through' red lights, then when the 'right turn' lights turn red, they gun it through???

Cheers

Dan

M8 he colud have just f*cked up I just don't know, easy to get spooked when driving through traffic at speed. The red light is not an issue you should always come to an almost complete stop when any of the lights is red just in case someone pulls out.

I've never quite been able to get the hang of this but if tax money pays police wadges etc how come individual police officers pay tax. Does that mean they pay there own wages and are thus self sufficient so you need not worry anymore. Or the idea of you paying tax and paying there wages is complete nonsence hmmm I don't know which one to believe. And a third point the police are severly underpaid for the job they do so you are abviously not paying enough tax if you are the person paying there wages so cough up. :surrenderwave:
