Very nice man, love the sleeper theme too. It's more fun embaressing the euro exotic owners then the local boys, But I haven't had the chance to line up to many unsuspecting drivers yet. what mph did this thing run when it did the 12.9is this the tray back one that ran 500+kw through a aps exhaust....we started seeing a restriction at around 400 with no cat in mine,Yeah it is, and the exhaust will have to be looked at before making to much more power.First off, tuff car man.BUT12.9 with ET's and and an auto with those sort of numbers whats the go there? The first time I EVER hit the strip I run 12.4 on 20's with under 300rwkw.Well It was all my fault, I'd never been to the track before so I was very nervous & I had only had the ute about 20Hrs at that point so I was not used to it. I lined up for the first run with it set at about 410rwkw's with 20psi in the ET's, I didn't do a burnout & I took off with out stalling it up on the brakes. The ute comes on boost at 3000rpm and get's to about 16psi by about 40-4100rpm but because I was so nervous I shifted at 4000rpm & then shifted at about 5100rpm for the next two gears and It still ran a 12.9 @ 114.9MPH I think,* Then for the next run I ran it at about 450-460rwkw's ran 15psi in the ET's did a very small burnout but forgot to adjust the line pressures higher in the gearbox . I stalled it up to about 2700rpm and left the line spinning up both the back wheels and the gearbox clutch's and ran a 13.05 at 115.5 I think.*Then for the third and final I left it at 450-460kw's and 15psi did a med burnout adjusted the line pressure to pretty firm Stalled it up to about 3100rpm & left the line in second gear Doh I forgot to shift down after the burnout, It took about a sec & a half between leaving the line, realising what I'd done and fixing it, & I ran what felt like a really quick run but it was only 13.3 @ 118MPH I think*So Basically the ute would have run a 11 no worries if I had of known how to drive itSo next time it should run some respectable numbers. As long as I don't f*ck it up again.Aaron,*I'll need to check the slips when I get the ute back.

Guest Guests Posted 28/07/08 08:45 AM Share Posted 28/07/08 08:45 AM somethings really not right with the times. car should trap at way over 125mph even if the times are down due to bad launches etc.
Guest Guests Posted 29/07/08 01:46 AM Share Posted 29/07/08 01:46 AM 'sMph should be 125+ easily with that kind of power Mine did 116mph on ~330rwkw and it's a manual.

It also ran out of revs in the top of third before the line and I had to hold the revs just shy of the limiter as I was told not to use the fourth gear overdrive at the track as It just wouldn't handle the power, I was told by the previous owner that It had run (from memory) around a 126-128mph with the old motor and less power(but wider MT E/T's).(frosty) The owner and the magazine article both said it was a HKS T51R, So I'm not too sure as the reaserch I've done seems to point towards it being a garrett although it may have HKS wheels in it? I'll try and remember to ask the ex-owner when I next speak to him. As to the throttle body I have no Idea what a standard one looks like so I wouldn't be able to tell you.(DUS-12) I only recently found out why the APS exhaust wasn't that much of a restriction. I dropped the exhaust out of the ute and the motor had blown open the leading face of the second muffler leaving a large gap at the front of the muffler for the gas to escape instead of having to go through the muffler. I'll take a pic and post it over the naxt couple of days.
