My xr6t is fairly stock but with an aftermarket BOV. no tune or anything

I came across something wierd the other night.. I stalled my car on start up as I left it in gear and didn't clutch it in..

But what I noticed, is that the next time I start up the car, THE SPEED dial doesnt work, but my car sounds like its running at FULL boost at really low revs.

my bov is heaps louder under 2g. and overall heaps louder than if I would start up my car normally.

but in doing this, is this harmful to the car as I have no idea whats going on???

I've got a video of me driving on the freeway with my speedo on zero.

happened after I stall it starting up at work.

not sure what is causing it though, sorry

hmmm, strange! swing past a dealer and get them to check it if you trust em!

well if its still stock with no tune only a blow off valve, they should be able to plug in their IDS and check for error codes.

That or take it to a site sponsor - they should know something about it

I'm not sure if it's relevant, but with my old BAII manual it used to kinda over boost if you were punting through twisties... like when you got back on the power after a corner if would spool extra hard just for a second...

Actually mine does this too.

Only mod ive done is POD and ditched the BOV.

Mines got the ZF, but only boost spikes inbetween gear changes... when its back into the gear it seems fine.

If I press it flat stick, 1st gear change into 2nd spikes around 1BAR

However 2nd going into 3rd gear change spikes to around 1.5 BAR

This isnt normal is it?

I only realised it because I set the alarm limit on my boost gauge and it was going ape sh*t at me all the time.

that's weird. Are your boost gauges accurate ? Spikes inbetween changes ? Maybe cause you ditched your bov.
