Just found this on Ebay. What are peoples thoughts? What is the correct size to use with the stock exhaust system? I realise this will need to be welded in place.

the car runs a generic 10psi tune. mods are cai, k&n filter and the cat on stock exhaust. before cat best of 13.34 108.17 with perf auto mode. after cat 13.03 112.92. best time 12.88 changing tiptronic manually. the cat seems to have made the difference and was easy to weld in, sliped over 3" pipe.

was the car tuned to suit? what other mods have you done?

oh and :stupid:

ok, have got to the bottom of this.

Do not replace your stock cat with Magnaflow 54309. Contrary to what some may claim on ebay, this is not a high flow cat. Its OEM replacement type only, and flows approx 300 cfm in 3" in 3" out. Save your cash and get something else.

Edit: I have found one Claim for the 54309M (M for metal) flowing 408 cfm however this is still far below the stock exhaust systems flow of 560 cfm so still not worth bothering with.
