What he does to get there, or how bad he doesn't matter. Sure you can bag him for it, and he probably could have done a better time if he drove properly, but he still had the fastest time. The fact that he did a burnout the whole way and still gets the fastest time is pretty impressive when you think about it (weather he meant it or not)

As it seems to be the drivers letting the cars down

Any performance testing without a control driver and conditions is not worth sh*t. Even if they could all drive, the testing would meant nothing without consistant driving. It had the gearing and the tqe to keep moving once it got a bit of traction.

If the car is not able to do it with the current set-up, then so be it. He should be happy that he still went so damn quick!

Even my missus who doesnt particularly love cars like me watches it religiouslly. Reason for it's success is in most part due to the personalities of the three presenters. Like to know who the heck is the STIG ? Anybody got any ideas who he/she is?cheers, GeoffTop Gear is just so beautiful to look at too. The locations (autobahns, dormant volcanos, army training grounds) make it more interesting than just seeing cars go around a track.
