You can smell the fuel a bit more than normal, but its not bad really

Guest Guests Posted 03/02/08 03:03 PM Share Posted 03/02/08 03:03 PM For the sake of $300 - $400 just get a legal high flow cat. You'll be cursing the stars if you get caught with a home jobbie

But I would think the rest of the exhaust would!
Guest Guests Posted 04/02/08 05:43 AM Share Posted 04/02/08 05:43 AM Running a high flow cat, gutted cat or no cat would yield pretty much the same results in Silhouette6t's case as he has a stock dump pipe. Once a huge dump is used, the different cat's will then show different results but with factory dump pipe, the amount of air passing through the cat is restricted. In the first lot of mods I plan on running, dekas, PW stage2 fmic, F6 CAI box with K&N filter, edit from KPM with custom tune and fuel pump at Simons. Similiar mods to many!I know the cats are one of the big restrictions in the standard exhaust so I was planning on gutting the cat (or getting a proper replacement pipe made) but Mike said that even with a standard dump pipe it'll still have problems? That said he also wasnt too impressed with the dekas and people are running them ok!Exhaust et al will come in the future perhaps. Well and truely after brakes and suspension!
