Must say its as smooth as a bird and after it is parked in the sun, it's a hell of a lot cooler inside in white than the blue one was. Still needs the whiteline swaybars to give it a flatter ride, but the 6 speed auto is magnificent. I have to get 1500 klms up on it by wednesday. The only issue it has is that the oil pressure drops down to about 1/4 at idle where 333 would sit on half. I'm hoping it's just the run in oil they use Still it's gonna be a great car when all the go fast P/west bits go in. I just ordered a surge tank and pump off Kev last night to make sure it can keep drinking under hard acceleration. All in all 110% WRAPT Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/42274-300-klms-in-the-new-r-spec/ Share on other sites

Now all the go fasty bits will go on the R Spec, so maybe 300 will be possible, but I don't think I'll ever find out. They are a very hairy ride at an indicated 270+ even with a decent suspension setup. I've got 750 klm on it now and a loud knocking on the floor on slow left and Right hand turns, so back to Ford on Monday morning Edited 02/02/08 08:00 AM by hypnodoc Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/42274-300-klms-in-the-new-r-spec/#findComment-629255 Share on other sites

It's gonna be a nice machine, and the auto is the icing on the cake. All is good apart from a clunk in the front suspension turning slow left or right. Have you been to the USA before? Rent a new mustang cobra off Hertz for a couple of days if you get the time, they are about $80 a day and a real nice machine. The more KLMs I'm puting on it the better it's getting. I just hit 2400 on the way to work this morning. My average fuel comsumption is at 16.6l/100 at the moment so I'm trying to get that down, but it's just so much fun listening to the induction as opposed to changing before 3k! Edit: Also, which whiteline sways do you suggest? BFF21 or blade adjustable?
