Could be an exhaust leak, does it go away after a period of time? I.e the exhaust is heated and expanded.

Nope.... Accelerate and it starts.... Take the foot off the pedal and it stops immediately.

Could it be a loose bearing? Would it be worth taking the top off the turbo and checking it out myself? (Assumption made that there is a top that you can take off.. lol)

It could be the manifold bolts mate... Give them a good touch up one afternoon..

Do it all yourself to be honest, just need a torque wrench..

Just give all the bolts a good nip..

Its better to do something like this then to spend money on nothing :stirthepot:

How could it be bolts though when the noise gets quicker as I accelerate harder?

Just spoke with a guy who knows a little bit about cars... He seemed to think that a loose bearing in the turbo is bad... As in, new turbo bad... :(

nah just dont be heavy on the foot and dont drive it long distance, I drove mine for 3 days to work n back about 65kms round trip with a really bad leak and whilst I wouldnt recomend it, I didnt get any fumes just a lot of looks as the noise was really loud. Id lost one bolt from the turbo and 4 off the flange, just goes to show what happens when you dont torque em up, I learnt my lesson that's for sure :roflmbo: If your a little bit handy its not overly hard to take of the heat sheilds and check yourself but the turbo bolts can be a :roflmbo: especially that last one.
