Dealer had the vinyl guys in to smooth over the 3 holes in the passenger side console on mine when I got it last month anyway :)

Haven't had mine long but it's been great. Did the throttle body clean too and it was already quite shiny. 37K Km's on it at purchase.

Agreed- you can't generalise and say that every chaser is going t be a dog. As long as the engine is strong and it's still under warranty what's the drama? I bought one so far under market value I could spend thousands fixing it up and still be ahead.

I can understand why people would rather pay more for a cleaner example, but my budget only allowed me to spend a certain amount and for me, an ex-chaser was the best option.

Most police XR6T's are well looked after in general they are assigned to a particular driver or two and although they are driven hard they are serviced with more money spent on them than the general sh*tboxes. You will find that a lot of highway patrol drivers are car lovers of some kind and like there cars to be clean. That said I have a sillouette 2004 BA series 1 manual with 72k's premium sound duel 2 1/2 inch cat back exhaust edit, custom phoon bodykit, et al that I am selling to upgrade to a FG G6ET.

before you would buy an ex cop car you would have to think about the facts.

1. All cop cars are driven hard, (except for the unmarked pencil pushes cars).

2. 99% of XR6T that were cop cars in their former life are most likely to be highway cars, these have deffinately been driven hard.

3. For some reason everyone thinks that cop cars are "tricked up". This maybe true in the old days but these days there is nothing done too them to make them any better. There are "Police packs" for cars but my understanding is these only have different wiring to the normal cars.

In my opinion I would never buy an ex cop car and guess what I do for a livin????, but that's only my opinion.

"all cop cars are drivin hard" >>> Well I would say 80 % of ppl who own a XR6T drive them hard, most prob drive them like they stole them, and that's how they should be driven! Its a performance car !! lol

and its in top cond, even had it on the hoist, no fault.

apart from the squealing brakes.

I reckon its a great car for $23k

And it still has 2 yrs warranty
