That is f*cked up!! I've never seen one of these things before. Never mind trading the car in, burn it to the ground!

You wanna talk about pain in the arse animals. I have a possum that in the last couple of months decided to make my roof his home. Now live and let live I always say and apart from the occasional scurry across the roof he wasn't that bad. But now for some reason he has decided to go under the house and also to take a plastic bottle with him to keep himself entertained throughout the night until he packs up and goes to sleep in the morning.

Now I'm sure everyone knows the sound a dog makes when it's chewing on a plastic bottle, picture this in dead silence at 2am right through to 6am :lurvedealer: with the occasional 10 minute break when I'm jumping up and down on the floor in the bathroom screaming at him to SHUT THE F*CK UP!

I don't suppose anyone know's any good possum guys?

I got two possums living in my roof. I know how ya feel. Tried fox traps. they too clever for that, took the food without setting off the trap. got mates to try but after 10 attempts still no luck. Just gotta shot the bastards

I'm now thinkin that we should toss PSIs possums in my car for the night...........

Heard back from my entomologist mate.... amongst the laughter he suggested a day in the sun with the windows up. Prolonged temps over 45 deg C they do not like apparently.

So I turfed a digital tabletop thermometer in the car today and got - would you believe - 55 deg C+ for about 4 hours. Lord knows if it's cooked - but it didn't show up on the way past Tabs place coming home.

Some species of centipedes lay their eggs one at a time. BUT In other species the female digs out chambers in rotten wood or soil and lays up to eighty or more eggs all at once. She wraps her body around her eggs and cleans them constantly so funguses, molds, or hungry predators do not harm them. Of these species some will eventually camouflage the eggs with bits of soil and abandon them. Others will remain with their eggs, even until after they hatch. They are unable to hunt and remain with their mother until after their next molt, or shedding of their hard outer coverings or exoskeletons.

This just gets worse. :freak:

Thankyou for pointing out the breeding habits of this bludger, Phantomchic. I will apply the heat therapy again tomorrow... so that the said eggs may scramble themselves.

Once the eggs have been laid they can withstand extreme conditions without effecting the normal incubation period
