A 17 year old was killed when his mate lost it on the bend just before the turning bay starts.

But the fact is that no matter what your opinion they are NEVER going to go away You can't blame the coppers, they are just doing their job. You might take some comfort in the fact that they didn't get to have a long weekend, and have to put up with incredible amounts of crap during their day to day duties. It is well advertised that it's always double demerit time during holidays and we do have criuse control. I've been pulled over by a few mongrel coppers in my time but also by some good ones. I think its too easy to forget these are the men and women who see first hand that speed does kill. I used to treat them for stress in Qld and will never forget one police lady who was on leave because after they pulled 2 bodies out of a Late model camira she found a dead 2 moonth old baby jammed under the front passenger seat. Our cars are great, and they go really fast but you have to know where to pick your mark which should never be on a busy road or in a suburban area. This has happened to the best of us, double dd points suck. The RTAs kitty will certainly swell from that little lot. The coppers would have just gone home from another boring days work. :ladysman:

I probably would have lost my licence but sh*t it would have been funny.all these tickets they write meant to keep us safe, but what do they do to keep us safe by behaving like this, and as you said where there parked is completely un-safe for everybody their pulling over and any other motorists on the road. What happened before you got there and what were all the other circumstances that you dont know about. On the original posters issue, thorough site assessments are carried out to determine the suitability of carrying out such duties on or near roadways, which is always inheritantly dangerous for police. If its not the speed demons that need to be stopped, its the drink/drug drivers that take forever to stop, the stolen cars that never want to stop and ma and pa kettle who simply freak out at the site of police. Apart from these issues, are driver reactionary times for both light and heavy vehicles, corridors of safety for police, surface type, weather conditions and average braking distances plus a lot more. Annually more police die on our roads from operating on our roads in some form, which also includes crashes, then from violent encounters with offenders. And all you did was drive past some police lecturing a kid about a helmet. You must have had your windows down to hear the full conversation.I.B. Edited 31/01/08 07:26 AM by Iconic Bionic
