On australia day with double demerit points, I was cruising along, there were no speed signs, I was travelling downhill, out from behind a rock jumps out a copper. Books me along with about 20 other cars doing 80 in a 60 zone. Double demerit points. Ill post up the photos of the sneaky slimey coppers. there were no signs, they were hidden at the bottom of a hill.

I'll keep this open for the moment, but if it get's out of hand It will be locked quick smart.

Whilst I understand your frustrations, you were still travelling at 20k's over the posted limited.

If there was no speed zone signs communicating the posted limit, you have the option

to have your day in court.

Title changed. Can't really call them "Dirty Sneaky Slimey Cops..." when you were the one breaking the law and they caught you doing so.

There's no excuse for travelling 30% over the posted speed limit.

It's alot easier to fill the quota that way rather then driving around looking for Hoons.

The cops are ok, if I'm speeding it's my fault. It's the parking inspectors that need to be beat down with big sticks, they are the real slimly bastards.

apparently its so they don't have to use as much effort/force when doing day to day "police activities"

If 20 cars were doing 80 in a 60 zone then the local authorities should consider changing it to a 70 zone.

Is it a known blackspot?

Were there houses nearby?

I must say the police strategy in this instance seems to be to fine speeders rather than reduce their speed. If they truly wanted people to reduce their speed in this area they should have made themselves more visible.

Oh well, sux to live in Sydaney :P

So many people got caught, I exchanged details with so many of them, they were all confused about the speed in the area. Police had no intention of slowing people down just booking them.

If they had a warning up ahead or if there car was visible people would have either slowed up or still been booked as nobody seemed to know the speed limit. there are no houses about the place, its not a built up area???
