Longevity Of The Xr Turbo

Just wondering what members think about the life expectancy of the Turbo motor.

My XRT is only 4 years old but I intend to keep it for at least another 2 years. I only have 60,000klm's on the clock at present. Also I don't drive it hard.

Do you think these engines, I guess more so the turbo will last 150,000 klm?????

easily, but of course it depends on how well you look after your car.

With only 60,000 after four years, its doing it pretty easy, so I don't think you'll have a problem keeping it for another two years.

How long is a peice of string??

Mate taxis get over a million ks out of a engine and the T's are basicly the same engine so I think youll be right

yeh you will be right! we aren't talking about the 90s old skool turbo 4s and 6s that are less than 3 litres in capacity! they are the short lived turbos. with 4 litres in capacity, and the blue oval badge behind it, it should last for years to come
