Hey there.

Does any body know of a cheap exhaust mod to do for the non turbo xr6. I don't have a centre muffler to take out but what would happen if I took out the rear muffler? Or does anybody have any sugestions?

Cheers

I would suggest getting hold of an XR6 Turbo system and using that, then you get a twin pipe system. There would need to be some alteration to get the twin system connected I assume, but the hangers etc would all be the same. Then... if that isnt good enough, remove the center muffler from the turbo system. It would be much cheaper than an aftermarket system.

most mild steel systems are pretty cheap now, but if you can find a second hand stock T exhaust, this is a decent upgrade.

You could change the muffler to a free flowing type also

I picked one up for free some months ago , so I decided to fit it with my new hi-flow cat. The car now feels as fast with this heavier system than the old RDP made system did with no cat !

Tried it without the cat and it was noisy , with cat both std mufflers , it sounds NICE and looks sexy with her shiny black pipes :beerchug: Thoroughly recommend this mod , gimme a day or two and I will get some new batteries in my camera and show you how neat it looks and a sound clip as well.... :banem::bangcomputer::drool::doyou: So many emoticons not enough threads ...hehehe xx
