Do you recommend them? So they are not bluetooth by the looks. How does the MP3 work? Through FM? Does it convey (talk) through your stereo. Just comparing to TomToms. TomTs have a lot of gimmicks however are three times the price.

Just saw on youtube they are used with a pen. Can it be finger touch as well?

Thanks

Yeah they're good for the money, playing divx video is cool too. They're touch screen so finger or stylus or what ever will work. I mainly use my finger but if you're typing out an address on the touch screen keyboard its more accurate to use the stylus (especially if its in the car and you're reaching out to do it)

It has a headphone jack so you just plug that into your aux in. apparently there are some models with fm transmitters built in, mine doesnt have it. As for bluetooth, supposedly the GPS receiver in it is bluetooth but I dunno how you'd do anything with it. It runs off WinCE so you can run any of those apps on it as well with a little bit of fiddling.

I think only genuine tomtoms come with tomtom software and maps but if you're vaguely cluey and have a look around on the net you can find all sorts of software to put on them ;)

that's for this unit anyway, I'm guessing the others around are similiar.

I got a RoadAngle GPS Satnav for the work runabout.

Cost me $239 from hardly normal, reduced from $1059. I would say it was old stock, but it came with a free update subscription that updated all the maps and traffic warning (speed/redlight camers etc)

Handy as it gives directions and warns you about cameras
