get a boost gauge...

Yes well the dyno boost hose was joint to the inlet manifold and the reading the dyno was getting it 10.1psi then as the revs and speed increase it slowly goes back down to the 5-6psi range again..

Also would me fitting the pod make any difference to dropping off power do you think because obviously it would have been tuned with the factory airbox/filter in place and I fitted the pod myself...

Most of the generics that I have seen have P1 being low boost (8psi) P2 as high boost (10psi) and P3 is a valet rev limited tune.

Flash the car to stock, F program and go for a drive. Then load !1, 2 then 3, driving each one in between. Should give you an idea of any initial major hassles.

Could be a very weak accuator, that can explain why it hits 10psi but drops off... the accuator may not have the strenght any more to hold the wastegate closed and keep boost up.

These are not too expensive to buy but fiddly to fit, but the age of the cars points towards it... Id change it for a new one

Agree

Get a custom tune too

That too is a good option. Order the new R35 GTR......apparently it's awesome.

A good mate of mine in Japan has a 1000 Hp R34 GTR in blue. Pretty nice cars and the new one is a lot more luxurious than previous models...

I have driven his R34 in Japan and the acceleration when boost hits is just sooooo addictive. Definately has more turbo lag than the falcon....ha

Hahaha Yeah I should for an RB but ill perservere with this Dags, ill get this sucker to go hard I am just familiarising myself with it first...

Is the actuator a remove turbo job or can it be done on the car.?

Oh and I already have 2 quick nissans, just after something newer, resonably fast (11s) and comfy as im catching up to dagabonds age now he he he.
